Cryonode is an offline-first single-player game. We do not run our own servers and we do not collect your personal information ourselves. The App works fully offline; the only features that use the network are third-party ads, crash reporting, and, optionally, Google Play services. Those third parties collect limited data as described below. The in-game "circuits" are a virtual token with no real-world money value and are never bought, sold, cashed out, or exchanged for money.
We (the developer) do not operate a backend and do not receive or store your data. The following third-party SDKs, when enabled in a released build, collect data under their own privacy policies:
| Source | Data | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads, ad mediation) | Advertising ID, coarse device and network info, ad-interaction signals | Serve and measure ads | AdMob runs a real-time auction across partner ad networks (see below). Only when ads are enabled. See Google's privacy policy. |
| AdMob mediation partner networks (e.g. Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Liftoff Monetize, Pangle) | Advertising ID, device identifiers, coarse location, ad-interaction signals | Serve and measure ads | Each auction winner may collect data under its own privacy policy. Only active when ads are live. |
| Google Play Billing | Account-linked identifiers, purchase status | Process and restore optional one-time purchases | Only if you make a purchase. See Google's privacy policy. |
| Google Play Services (including the User Messaging Platform for consent management, Play In-App Review, and Play Billing) | App version, device type, Google account identifier, consent signals | Manage consent, provide Play Store features (review prompt, purchases) | Only where Google Play Services are available. See Google's privacy policy. |
| Google Play Games Services (optional sign-in, achievements, leaderboards) | Play Games player identifier, Google account identifier, the achievements you unlock, and the Daily/Weekly Contract scores you post | Record achievements and show leaderboards | Optional; automatic only if you are signed in to Google Play Games. Leaderboard scores are visible to other players. If you are signed out or decline, the App works fully and these features are inactive. See Google's privacy policy. |
| Firebase Crashlytics (crash and error reporting) | Crash stack traces plus non-personal diagnostic context (game mode, grid size, app version, device model and OS, settings state) | Diagnose and fix crashes and errors, and monitor app stability | Consent-gated: off by default and active only after you have consented (where a consent prompt applies). Collects no names, email, location, or advertising ID. Data is processed by Google/Firebase on our behalf. See Google's (Firebase's) privacy policy. |
| Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase, product analytics) | A pseudonymous app-instance identifier, general device and country information, and gameplay events (modes started and finished, multipliers reached, tutorial progress, aggregate ad-impression revenue) | Understand how the App is played and how the ad-supported free version performs | Consent-gated: off by default and active only after you have consented (where a consent prompt applies). Advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals are switched off, so it is not used to build an advertising profile. Collects no names, email, precise location, callsign, or circuits balance. Data is processed by Google/Firebase on our behalf. |
| On-device storage (DataStore) | Your game progress (circuits, cosmetics, stats, settings) | Save your game on your device | Stored locally on your device only; not transmitted to us. May be included in Android's standard Auto Backup to your own Google account if you have that enabled. |
Although we run no servers and store none of this data ourselves, for the data collected inside the App to show ads we act as a data controller (in some cases jointly with the ad partners) under the EU and UK GDPR. We will help you exercise your rights over that data (see Your rights).
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, or messages.
The App includes two Google (Firebase) components, and both are consent-gated: off by default and activated only after you have consented, where a consent prompt applies.
Firebase Crashlytics handles crash and error reporting (see the table above). It collects crash reports plus non-personal diagnostic context, never your name, email, location, or advertising ID. Basic crash and performance data may also be available to us through standard Google Play (Android vitals).
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) handles product analytics. We use it to understand how the App is played and how the ad-supported free version performs: which game modes are started and finished, multipliers reached, tutorial progress, and aggregate advertising revenue per ad impression. It records a pseudonymous app-instance identifier along with general device and country information. It does not collect your name, email, precise location, callsign, or your circuits balance, and we have switched off advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals for analytics, so it is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Circuits are an in-game token with no real-world value, so spending them is never recorded as a monetary transaction.
You can withdraw consent at any time from Settings, which stops both components from collecting anything further. If we change what is collected, this policy and the Play Data Safety form will be updated before that build ships.
Third parties use the data above to serve and measure ads, provide optional Google Play features (purchases, review prompts), and manage consent. We do not receive or process personal data ourselves.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, when personalized ads are enabled, the sharing of identifiers such as your Advertising ID with ad partners for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information under certain US state privacy laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA). You can opt out of this sharing at any time, for free: where a consent prompt is shown (for example the EEA and UK), decline ad personalization; in US states with opt-out rights, turn on "Do not sell or share my info" in the App's Settings (under About), or use your device's ad-personalization and Advertising ID controls; and you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings at any time. You never have to pay to exercise a privacy right (buying Remove Ads also stops ads entirely, but that is a product choice, not a condition of opting out). Aside from these advertising partners and the Google services listed above (each acting as an independent data controller under its own policy), we share nothing else.
Where required by law (for example the EEA and UK), the App presents a consent prompt before personalized ads are shown, and ad personalization is gated on your choice. In US states that provide opt-out rights, you can opt out of personalized ads and of the sharing described above by turning on "Do not sell or share my info" in the App's Settings (under About), or by using your device's ad-personalization and Advertising ID controls. If you decline personalization, non-personalized ads are shown instead - ads are not removed entirely. To remove ads entirely, use the Remove Ads purchase in Settings. EEA and UK users can revisit their consent choice at any time via "Manage Ad Consent" in Settings.
In Canada, personalized advertising is off, for everyone, always. We do not ask you to opt in and there is no setting to turn it on. If the App detects that your device is Canadian, every ad request it makes is flagged as non-personalized, so neither Google nor any partner network builds or uses an advertising profile of you to choose which ad you see. Canadian users still see ads, they are simply chosen from the context rather than from your activity. This is described further under Quebec residents below.
Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, gives Quebec residents specific rights and imposes specific duties on us. This section sets out how we meet them. It applies in addition to everything else in this policy, not instead of it.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information. Datarider Interactive is a sole proprietorship, so the person with the highest authority within the business is by default the person in charge of the protection of personal information (the privacy officer). That role is held by the Owner, Datarider Interactive, reachable at datarider.interactive@gmail.com. Address any question, access request, correction request, or complaint about personal information to that address, and it will reach the privacy officer directly.
Profiling is off by default and we do not turn it on. Law 25 requires that any function which identifies, locates, or profiles a person be deactivated by default. In the App the only such function is advertising personalization. As described under Advertising and consent above, ad personalization is disabled for all Canadian devices. There is no toggle to enable it, so it cannot be switched on by accident, by us, or by a later update without this policy changing first.
What is left, and why. With personalization off we still process the technical data listed under What data is involved (device and app information, coarse region, an ad request identifier) because an ad cannot be delivered or fraud-checked without it, and we still process crash diagnostics if you have not disabled them. None of this is used to build a profile of you. The App runs no servers of our own, holds no account, and asks for no name, email, address, phone number, or payment details.
Automated decision-making. The App makes no decision about you based exclusively on automated processing of your personal information, so the Law 25 notification right for such decisions does not arise.
Your Quebec rights. In addition to the rights listed under Your rights below, you have the right of access to and rectification of your personal information, the right to withdraw consent, the right to have information de-indexed or its dissemination ceased, and the right to data portability in a structured, commonly used technological format. Write to the privacy officer at the address above and we will respond within the 30 day period Law 25 sets.
Complaints. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI), the provincial regulator, at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
Breach notification. If a confidentiality incident involving personal information presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the CAI and the affected individuals promptly, and record it in the register Law 25 requires us to keep.
Language. A French version of this policy and of the Terms of Service is available, and the French version is provided on terms no less favourable than this English one.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we and our partners rely on these legal bases: your consent for personalized advertising (Article 6(1)(a)); the legitimate interests of us and our ad partners in serving and measuring non-personalized ads and in keeping the App working and secure (Article 6(1)(f)); and performance of a contract to process any optional purchase you make (Article 6(1)(b)). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights), without affecting processing already carried out.
Google (AdMob), its mediation partner networks, and other ad partners may transfer and process data outside your country, including in the United States. These transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK government. For more information, see Google's and each partner's respective privacy policies.
The App is not directed to children under 18. It uses a simulated gambling game mechanic and is rated accordingly. On first launch the App asks for your date of birth solely to confirm you are 18 or older; this age check runs on your device, we store only whether it passed (never your date of birth), and it is not transmitted to us or any third party. It is a self-declared check, not identity verification. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will address it.
Game progress lives on your device; uninstalling the App removes it, subject to any Google Auto Backup you have enabled, which you control from your Google account. You can also clear local data from Settings ("Reset local data"). We ourselves retain no personal data, as we run no servers. Ad and purchase data are held only by the providers above, for the periods set out in their own privacy policies. To request deletion of data held by a provider, use that provider's controls, or contact us and we will help direct the request.
Play Games data (the achievements you unlock and the scores you post to leaderboards) is held by Google on your Play Games profile, not by us. Manage or delete it through your Google Play Games settings, for example by deleting your Play Games data or hiding your profile in your Google account.
Depending on your region you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
The ad and purchase data are held by Google and its ad mediation partners, so many requests are fastest through their privacy controls. As a controller for the data collected in the App to show ads, we will also help you make any request: contact us at datarider.interactive@gmail.com and we will assist or direct it.
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" will change and material updates will be surfaced in the App or store listing. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions or requests: datarider.interactive@gmail.com
For Quebec residents, that address also reaches the person in charge of the protection of personal information (privacy officer), whose title and contact details are set out under Quebec residents (Law 25) above.
